An Hour A Week? #211

#211-Five Years Dead

If you’re looking for Scouting tips, this episode is not for you! It’s our five year anniversary and we talk about everything AHAW related, play the entire first show, have lots of laughs and explain some plans for the future. This is not a normal show and to those of you who are new, go back to #210 and wait for #212 next week when we get back to the normal stuff.

Thanks to everyone who got me to 5 years:

Justin – We did good stuff while we were together. I miss it, but I’m glad you kept going. Knowing someone’s got the entire rest of the Scouting planet covered works just fine for me.

Bob – There will always be a chair at my Roundtables for you. You were my anchor. And you are missed.

Steve - Good grief, I can’t believe some of the stuff you let me say to you! And you’re always laughing and never judge.

Jerry – THE Scouting Anchor. I’ve tied my line to you more than you will ever know. You are what Scouting is supposed to look like to me.

Shawn - The guy who’ll take me to the Scouting “Bar” and have a brew and talk about old comedies and good Scouting.

Kris – My longest Scouting “girlfriend”. It feels like you’ve been here since the beginning. Big respect for you.

Shannon – I guess someone has to be the grown-up. You do it well. You keep me focused on what’s important.

Emily – Thanks for trying to keep me on a straight path. Sorry I keep failing… ok, I’m not really sorry. But don’t stop trying.

Liberty - The perfect cheerleader, friend, confidant, partner. You make me remember life is not just about Scouting, but when it is, give it all every single time. You make my heart smile, even when my face won’t.

All of the fans - It is overwhelming that anyone gets inspired/motivated/whatever by anything I do or say. It was the mission of the show to make Scouting better and I never thought I would do it once, let alone for five years. YOU ALL MAKE IT HAPPEN EVERY WEEK! When I want to quit, you all know what needs to be said. When I celebrate, you cheer with me. I will never be able to thank y’all enough.

OK, enough with the mushy thanks and breaking my arm patting myself on the back. Let’s get back to making our customers happy and getting some boys “Scouted Up”. Because, it’s just an hour a week, right?
