(Thought I would give everyone an update)

First let me thank everyone again for the kind words shared in my other post.  Well, I expressed my issues to the Chartered Org Rep and to our new DE and we're going to meet to see what we can do to get the most out of our current condition.

I had my last Pack meeting of the school year last night…  and was touched by near perfect attendance (only 1 family missing out of 18).   My Pack, with all it's missing pieces, still appreciates the program for what it is… and wants the show to go on.   I tried another round of one-on-one solicitation for a CM replacement before the meeting, and still no takers.   But my son has one more year before I can cross him over, and his interest hasn't waivered one bit. 

So I sat down with my wife and asked her to take the Webelos den completely off my hands, I will find a way to do one more year of Pack meetings if that is my primary focus (as it certainly should have been this whole time).  That was what accelerated the burn out…  having to do the Pack Meetings and Den Meetings back to back to back to back. 

So I was certainly down, but not out.  I guess the scouting spirit has brought be back somehow.   Let's do this!
