I need to borrow some creative juices……

I am organizing an event for the district that deals with local Emergency resources.  I am going to have 2 different Fire Departments, an ambulance, the Red Cross and hopefully some police representation.  It is geared towards the Cub level.  It's going to be an open house type of set up as we have parking issues.  The scouts will be able to fulfill rank requirments as well as knock off some of the Emergency Preparedness Award.  I am also hoping to have some Boy Scouts come to show off their stuff or just generally help out.

So….. here's my delema…. what should I call it!?!?!?!  The last event I did was a belt loop day and I called it "The District Goes Loopy" which everyone really loved.  Now I need something catchy for this one (I have a rep to uphold!!)

Thanks in advance for the use of your creativity!!!!  I really appreciate it!

I'll think about it some more, but what about Scout District pleads 'Rescue Me!' (and yes, that song is now stuck in my head.)

You might task the Boy Scouts with teaching the Emergency Preparedness Award.  You also ought to see if someone will bring out an air ambulance.  We were at an event where we had to pull kids out of the chopper so it could leave on a call – very exciting!

Also, in Houston we have an agency that coordinates disaster response when we get visits from friends in the Gulf (still cleaning up after Ike).  I think you are in NY (haven't figured out how to view profiles yet) so I doubt you have that exact issue, but you may have someone who handles / coordinates major disasters.  You might check that out as well.

also kris try to get a hazmat team to come and show off their equiptement becuase that stuff is really cool. Our council put on an event like this when I was a webelo some 5 or 6 years ago and it went realy well.  Our event was a much larger scale than yours will probably be but I'm sure yours will go great as well.

Call it "I DRANK FROM THE FIREHOSE!"

(Okay, not really.)

Almost sounds kind of like a Public Service Career Fair type of thing.
