Hello, all! I've been listening to The Leader's Campfire and The Scoutmaster Minute for a while, now and figured it was about time to join the forums.
After serving as a five year Den Leader (Tigers > Webelos) for my son, I'm now an ASM with his troop. Though I was never a scout, I have very much enjoyed my time with it the last 7 years.
I used to be a Bear and am working my ticket from Wood Badge course NE-IV 210.
Happy trails!
Finally, my son was just recognized at last night's Court of Honor for having earned his Star Rank.

Welcome Dave. Your path through Scouting sounds like mine. I 'joined' BSA when I became my oldest son's Tiger leader and am now my third son's Wolf leader. I am ASM for our Troop, and Pack Trainer for the Pack. Keep working on your ticket. I earned my beads a couple of years ago as I used to be a Fox.

Welcome, Dave! I have a great respect for Bears, being a wee little Fox, myself. ;) How is your ticket coming along?
I know I'm late jumping on the greeting bandwagon, but I've been busy with my own ticket. I'm making slow but steady progress, so far.
Congrats (again, belatedly) to your son for his Star rank. My oldest son's progress has been slow and stead, as well, and at 15, he's "stranded" at Star rank since he refuses to finish up one of his Eagle merit badges. I'm hoping he finds some drive and motivation, but in the meantime he's enjoying his new adventures in Venturing.
