Hey everyone. I didn't see an "Introduce Yourself" thread so I figured I'd just say hi before jumping into any conversations.

I'm Ken from PA, and have been out of the program for a few years now. I recently joined my old Cub Scout Pack as a member of the Pack Committee. My son is still a few years away from being a Tiger (or Lion if the program continues).

I'm an Eagle Scout (Troop 16, Scranton, PA), former Assistant Scoutmaster, district training staff, Wood Badge (NE-IV-72 – Fox) and a former DE. After I left professional service I was out of the program until went to my troop's 95th anniversary dinner back in March. I was "gently recruited" by my pack. My wife said at the time I was going to do it, I just didn't know it yet. She was right.

So now I'm Public Relations chairman for the pack, which right now basically means I do the pack website, http://www.pack16scranton.org.

I've been listening to Scoutmaster's Minute, MISS, and An Hour a Week. Once I'm caught up on some of their recent shows, I'll start on some of the others. I love the content and the variety of ideas.

I'll be visiting the Jamboree on Saturday, July 31, so I'm sure to meet some of you at the meet and greet that afternoon..

See you around,
YiS

Welcome to the club Ken. Make yourself at home.

Oh, and be sure to listen to the other podcasts or Buttons will get upset.

Thanks, Doug.

I use Joomla! for all my websites. There was a little learning curve to it, but in the end it's so easy to modify and update. I find it to be a lot more flexible than other CMS out there. You can find an add-on component for just about anything you want to do.

Oh, and I don't get out to Kenilworth that often, but I always have to stop at the Kenilworth Diner for lunch when I do. :)

Steve, tell Buttons he has nothing to get upset about. There's room for everyone. :)
