I was talking with a good Scouting friend of mine today about the impact that PTC Media and its principals (Chris, Jerry, Steve and Shawn) have made on our units. We were discussing how tough it would be to estimate just how many units and programs are better because of this great Scouting resource, but we know there are a lot out there. What we can show is that our own units are better. So I will start.

Because of the work of PTC Media, the following unit and programs are better:

 - Cub Scout Pack 751, Oceanside, CA

 - Cool Foxes/Den 8 (my second den) of Pack 751

 - District training, Santa Margarita District, San Diego-Imperial Council

In Scouting, and with much thanks,

Great idea Jeff! I'm the first to admit I've lifted ideas from the PTC shows and blogs (and from the 'Friends of PTC'), so you can add

- 1st Stoke-on-Trent & Newcastle, St. Andrew's Porthill Scout Group

Thank you all! Cool

You can also add

43rd Bristol Scout Troop – Cabot District – Avon Scout County – Bristol

and

Avon Scout County

to the list as I have gleaned ideas from the showLaugh

Chris Meadows – ACC Explorers – Avon Scout County nn*10 bins, 4 planks of wood, 3m of rope and a river full of crocodiles. Sounds like a normal Thursday night.

PTC has had a HUGE impact on our Pack.  I took over a struggling Pack about 5 years ago now. (We're still struggling but nothing like we were.) The ideas and insights offered by PTC have given me immeasurable guidance and inspiration for both my Pack and myself as a leader.  I also can't say enough positive things about the forums as everyone who participates are true Scouter's at heart.

Because of the work of PTC Media, the following unit and programs are better:

Cub Scout Pack 175, Cobb, CA

Troop 315, Middletown, CA

Lake District, Lake County, CA

And personally, I have been greatly impacted and motivated.  The times when I most felt like, "I can't do this!" PTCMedia and its various shows (and the FABULOUS listeners here on the forums!) gave me inspiration and hope.

I can't tell you for sure the number of units that have had a positive impact due to PTC Media.  Being Roundtable Commissioner and a District trainer, PTC has helped me immensely and I've passed that on to every unit I come into contact with through my district level positions.  I can say for sure that the 40+ packs of the Hopewell District of Dan Beard Council have been positively impacted, as well as dozens of others in other districts in DBC and in neighboring councils.

Great job guys!
