According to the web site there are only 220 days to go. Are you or your son going? I'm going to be there for a few days as a vistor and my son is going as a participant. Looks like a fun hot time. Suggestions for must see things? Meet ups?? Live Podcasts??? Not too early to start thinking about it.

139 and counting till JAMBO!!! Our contingent of 13 Troops actually arrives in Virginia on the 21st of July for touring prior to Jamboree… so its 134 days for us!!!!
Live Podcasts?? Well, I will have my traveling recorder with me at all times.. surely there will some PTC action going on. Recording, Video, and of course photo ops.
Meet ups?? As we get closer and we know what the plan is.. I would love to have a PTC meet and Greet.
I think that I am the only host going as an Adult leader (Scoutmaster), but I would love to hook up with as many folks as possible while at Jambo.
Those of you that are doing day trips.. this may be a bit of a challange.. but if you are going to be at Jambo… let me know I will give you "on the ground" contact information and we can meet.
I will be in Subcamp 7… Troop 720 from the Cascade Pacific Council… just look for a light house!
It is going to be a Blast!!!! I can't wait for JAMBO!!!

I'm surprised this topic hasn't started to heat up yet. The Jamboree is just a few months away and I know most contigents have formed and somewhat set for the big event. We had our shakedown camp out this weekend, and the scouts are busy, already getting patches for trading.

We fly out of Portland in 76 Days for touring and then the Jamboree.
My Jambo Troop is camping this weekend and then the whole contingent (all 13 troops) will be camping together on Memorial day weekend. After that camp out our gear will be loaded on trucks and head to Virginia.
We are ready to go… just watching the days on the calander flip by.

Looks like I'll be down there the 31st (for the big show) to Aug 2. Not sure if I'm going to make it in on the 1st as they don't open the doors for visitors till 1.

Heheh, if I were 19 again I could do car washes as a fundraiser… ;)
As it stands, I couldn't get a sitter for a cat, a dog, and three kids, plus scrounge up the airfare. It would be neat to go, but I'll get to listen to all the Tweets and broadcasts of it from the experts. (That's the rest of you!)

I'll be popping down for the day on Tuesday the 27th with atleast my hubby & 1 son, maybe both. Jerry & I are already talking about meeting up! It should be lots of fun!!!

OK.. the 27th is great.. after all I will be there the whole time, so it do not matta to me..
72 days till we fly out… I can't wait!
BTW- Our contingent got our name tags tonight.. they were soooooo screwed up..
Can you believe they misspelled the word "SCOUTMASTER" on them…
We are sending them back to get them redone.

I'm down there from Saturday the 31st till the 2nd. I have a hotel room close to AP Hill, that has some extra room (male only). Contact me off line if you're interested. Having some cred on PTC would help too  .
