A Boy Scout Podcast….simple, to the point, and it's an offshoot of your blog…just make sure your spelling is better, or we may have to contact your English teacher. Wink

How about "A Scout's Podcast" or "Scouting From the Front Lines", or something similar, showing that the podcast is from the point of view of a Scout, not an old, crusty scouter like us.

Be sure to take into consideration the show's format (variety, interviews, news, gear, essays, training, sound-seeing tours, talking around the campfire, etc.) It might help in coming up with a name. A take-off on one of Jeff's ideas: "Scouting: from the Trail" (if it's outdoors focused).

Hm… I'm a little late to the party… how about  some sort of play on

PLC?  (I'm drawing a blank as to where to run with it, but maybe you'll think of some acronym that fits.)

A Scouts Own … Podcast

Umm… l337 Podcast LOLZ  (just kidding)

Troop Guides

Fireside Chats with Real Boy Scouts

A Scout is Helpful : Sharing Tips and Tricks With Fellow Scouts

I'm sorta with the other guys… if we knew where you were headed with the show, it might be easier to throw some names at you.

I've put a great deal of thought into this and I think I've come up with a format for the show.

Opening – Standard intro and info on whats in this episode

Trail to Eagle – A segment about my progress on the trail to eagle, progresses from show to show

Interview – an interview with another scout/scouter, outdoor enthusiast etc. may not be a part of all shows

Merit badge corner – A segment about a merit badge and how i completed it, may be related to the interview

Campfire Chats – this section will be anything, including skits, songs, or just me talking about my scouting in general

Closing – closing remarks

Length of shows will no doubt vary depending on the length of interviews and other parts etc but I think I'll keep it under an hour. I am really thinking about naming it Scouting from the front lines but I'm still open to any other ideas. And by the way I would like to thank everyone for your ideas and your support for my blog. Hey Kevin,

In the Merit Badge section, if there is something about learning that MB that really stands out in your mind, maybe something the instructor did that really helped you remember what you were learning or that was really fun, talk about that.  Those of us who put on classes are always looking for good ideas.

Good luck.

No suggestion on the name, but the format you detailed sounds excellent.  I look forward to hearing it!

How about "Around the Scout's Campfire" :)

Seriously sounds fantastic!  A Scouts Trail, A Scout Is…, A Scout's Journey, The Trail To Eagle, A Scout's Life, Living The Adventure, Doing My Best, Be Prepared, A Game With a Purpose…

Sorry, I used to do stuff like this for a living…whatever you call it, I am looking forward to it!

I'm all for keeping your name alive with your blog name.  Scoutmaster Jerry does it, see what he thinks.

OK so my name is definitely going to be Scouting from the front lines. I have recorded my first interview and hopefully by mid Feb I will put out my first show. First I need to get the school musical over with :) . Also I am planning on starting to blog about my trail to eagle so stay tuned.
