Well I just survived my first pack meeting. I was made cubmaster a week ago plus this meeting was planned with less then a week to prepare. We have 17 kids and 16 of them showed up. I was doing quite well until the Comitee Chair accidently stole my notes. Then I recovered after we found them a few minutes later.
Things I learned … We need a PA system because boy's voices don't project even in small rooms. Keep a 2nd copy of meeting notes in case you loose the first copy in the middle of the meeting. Always announce twice if there is any more announcements because some adult wasn't listening the first time. New safety pins are hard to open when in a rush to pin badges on.

Congrats on getting through the first one.
PA – agreed. They're never loud enough.
Notes – we give a copy to each DL and Asst. CM
Announcements – Print them out (newsletter), so if they miss them the first time, you don't have to burn more of the boys' time
Enjoy the ride!

It's a good feeling to get that first one under your belt (preferably with minimal blood loss).
Congrats !

Congratulations on a successful pack meeting! As you go on and get more under your belt, you may start to compare or measure how well your meetings got pulled off afterwords, and most of us can tend to nitpick ourselves about the finer details.
The most key measurement of a successful meeting is "Did the boys have fun?" If the answer is yes, then something went right!
