Hey Girls
You're doing a great job. I enjoy listening to the show as a long time CC and a first time Tiger Leader. Thats for the ideas. I'm putting my CC hat on now. You mentioned the 99 cent bag at the scout shop. I'm thinking of getting them for my leaders but i couldn't find them on scoutstuff.org. do you have a link? And could you describe them for me again. thank you so much!

Hi Dawn!
I just looked and couldn't find them either, but they are very prominent at the scout stores in my area, much like the Target or Kroger bags for the groceries. I'm thinking that Kris might know if they are only available in store if you can also get them on line. We'll do a bit a research, and see what we can find.
Thanks for listening!

Hello All!!
I don't know why they aren't on Scoutstuff anymore, but I know we have them in our Scout Shop. They are just like the ones you see grocery stores selling/giving out. I will have to see if I can look them up by item number when I get to work tomorrow! Sorry to not have that more at reach!! I'll research it and let you know!

Okay, I looked into the bag thing. They aren't listed on Scoutstuff.org, and I don't know why. BUT, they are still a current item at the National Scout Shops. Sorry for making it more difficult!! But they are DEFINITELY worth the hunt!

Ladies,
Thank you for your show. As a new CC to a new pack I have been looking for all the help that I can get. Your show is great for that. I love your show. I have been telling everyone that I can about your show and all the other shows on PTC. Your different points of view are great for someone like me. THANK YOU!

Mrs. Nancy,
Thanks for listening and your feedback. And I guess a good ol' "Welcome to the Club" is in order. The good news for you is that all of your leaders and your boys are new. A new pack is a nice way to start out because you don't have any built in history to contend with. I admit, I am a little jealous. Always remember, it's always for the boys first and foremost and no matter what you do, it will always be the right thing to do.
If you ever have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask any one of us or anyone else on the PTC forums. Everyone is always willing to offer advice. Good luck with the start of your new pack!

Hi Nancy!
Thanks for listening! We'd love to hear more about your experiences within a new pack. I agree with MISS Shannon, having a new pack might be nice– fewer well-estabilished bad habits to manage!
If there are any issues or concerns that you would like us to touch upon, please let us know. We'd love to hear from other MISS's out there.

Thanks for all your work in hunting them down. I guess i'm just going to have to make the trek to the scout shop myself. Or send my husband, he works closer! And thanks for the all the great info y'all give us!

You talked about making the scout sign and it being Akelas ears being up.
In the US do Cubs still use the two finger sign and scouts use the 3 finger sign?

This is exactly the case!! 2 fingers for Akela's ears & 3 fingers for the scout salute all kept together. The other difference is that CS put their signs up as high as they can where BS keep the arm at a 45 degree angle.
How is it in the UK?

I think the last person to use the two fingered scout sign in the UK was Baden Powel himself.
There is no distinction for between Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, Network or Adult leadership team.
Left handed scout hand shake
left hand slute with 3 fingers against head plam facing out
Scout sign is make with 3 fingers arm at 45 degree angle finger approximalty shoulder high.
We do use in cubs and beavers the scout sign held aloft for silence but it is still the 3 fingers
