OK, everybody. I'm opening the website for testing for the next week. Either e-mail me at cubmasterchris@gmail.com or post suggestions, broken things, incompatibilities here.

The old forums will be back shortly, but I can not import them or any IDs. You must re-register.

I'm still finishing some items, but really want your feedback.

Please be critical. Please do not be mean.

Thanks!

I won't be critical yet…I have been to most of the site and like it alot. The changes are nice. My only "complaint" is that we had to re-register, but I wanted to change my username anyways. So in all, I would say "Cool…"

Also, the "white on white" on the registration page has been fixed.

And don't hold back. This is the week I'm going to work on it.

I like the new look.  A couple of thoughts:

1.  The red on gray that you're using on the About PTC pages is difficult to read

2.  The window on the Listen Now page isn't big enough to show the whole video

So far, nice job.

The red is now blue. It was bugging me also.

The Listen Now button has always been messed up. It's a bug in the player. If anyone knows one that plays from RSS feeds like the current one (PuPuPlayer), I would be happy to replace it.

The blue looks much better.  Too bad about the PuPuPlayer.  Have you considered trying the mu shu pork instead?

Great new site design Chris.

One point is that on the About PTC Media page, the info about Steve starts straight after yours beside your photo. The rest is under the photo. It looks a bit odd – sorry.

also, you should maybe link the show titles on the about page to their respective feed page. And on the about page you can't read the around the scouting campfire part.

I like the new look, but I had a problem loging in to the forums.    It first said my id / e-mail was used (with no option to reset my password in case I forgot it) I had to create a second login.    Also on the promote the show page the pdf links are not working

Get the error message:

Catchable fatal error: Object of class WP_Error could not be converted to string in /home/chris/public_html/ptc/wp-content/themes/default/sidebar.php on line 5

The about page also looks a bit different under Firefox the Internet explorer.  The last picture (ScoutMaster Jerry) is on the right side under I.E and on the left for Firefox, also the text on firefox is not all on the same background.  I.E looks cleaner.   I can send screen shots if you need.

Links are now in. And I cleaned up the page a little. The copy still needs to be rewritten, so ASC will have more copy shortly.

Thanks!

I really love the new site.  Very slick.  I prefer the new forum setup to the old one.  Not that there was anything innately wrong with the previous forums, these just seem to have a slicker, cleaner, more professional look to 'em.

Thanks for all your hard work on the site.  Seriously lovin' it.  (Weeeeellllll.  For now.  I'll poke around and try to break it so I'll have something to complain about. Just kidding. Probably. Laugh)

Reset Password: I think it wants to retrieve passwords (see images) for you instead. Let me know if that doesn't work.

PDFs are now uploaded.

I cleaned up the About pages. Let me know if there is still a FF/IE problem.

Thanks!

All hosts and guests are currently or have been members of the Boy Scouts…

is squished to a column on the right side where there is one word per line

Just taken a look at the page with Google Chrome & Safari (Windows flavour) and they both show the page ok. Must be an IE 'feature'! Wink

Down with Internet Exploder!

(Did the thread topic change?)

I like the new site, very "Web 2.0"-ish.  Haven't had a chance to test it yet but did the feature come back from the forums two iterations ago where if you're posted in a thread and someone posts a reply, you get email notification?  Because I've really missed that one feature.

Yes! And I was thinking of you when I saw it. Smile

I like the new design. Very slick.

Have you thought about putting a "Register for PTC Media" link/button on the front page? It was not too easy to find how to register (or in my case, re-register) for the site – but maybe that's just me.

Great job on the re-design. Most excellent!
