I recently added the Centennial Boy Scout Web Belt to my uniform, a few months ago. I love the clasp on the new buckle as far as how it secures the loose end of the belt, but I've noticed that the under piece, the part that holds to the leading end seems to come loose a lot. Now I bought a larger size because I was just over the one size, but hoping to 'slim down' and cut 4 inches off my waste in the next couple of years, so there is a bit of excess on the belt. So when I wear it I have a little bit of overlap that i carry over to the right belt loops under end that goes into the buckle.
Does anyone have any suggestions about how to get the buckle to stay put a bit nicer?

I bought the web belt too. What I do not like is that the end gets frayed…I have had to cut it once. I suspect it will get replaced with a Camp belt buckle…

I had an issue with the new belt over the weekend. The metal clip on the leading end, got bent really bad, and I had to take a hammer to pound it back into shape. I have had other web belts like this in the past, and have never had this issue.
As for the fraying end, burning it wont' work, it's cotton, so it only burns, not melt. You can try a couple of remedies to stop the fraying.
1. Clear Nail Polish
2. Carpenter's Glue mixed with a bit of water to thin it out
3. Modge Podge
4. Tape — Duct, Electrical, Packing
These are just a couple of thoughts…

For the frayed belt in, could you use kite string to essentially "Whip" the belt like you would for a regular frayed rope?
And yeah the leading end the one the buckle should hold too when unbuckled on mine pops open on its own sometimes.

I've noticed that the paint on my belt buckle has started to chip. Has anyone had any luck finding a paint for touch ups?
