I thought that with the Webelos II moving onto troops, and the Webelos I now being the "big dogs" of the pack, units will now focus on the next group of scouts to become Webelos…the Bears.

The Cub program is so much different than the Webelos program, the parents and maybe even the leaders need to have that "big, fat slice of suck" talk…

How do you, as a Unit leader, explain to the Webelos I parents, that scouting as they know it is going in the direction that dads want, and some moms fear…

The days of the crafts, bedazzlers, and beads are mostly done…snack time and group work now gets replaced with 1 1/2 hour meetings, where activity pins replace achievements. Your scout not only has to learn the Scout Oath and Law, but the Outdoor Code and how to teach another person how to tie a square knot.

So……….how does your "talk" go?
